Aldo Fernandez

Area of Interest: Heavy machinery and outdoor recreation equipment
Future Plans: In next year, I plan to travel the world with my wife. After our trip is over, we will live in
the Pacific Northwest where we can enjoy the convenience of living in a large city with proximity to
vast wilderness areas where we can enjoy our time away from work. I expect to start my own or work
for an environmentally and socially responsible engineering company as a field engineer or in product
development.
Extracurricular: I enjoy cycling, camping, and wilderness backpacking with my wife. I also enjoy traveling
and experiencing other cultures.
Achievements: Dean’s List. In the summer of 2012 my wife and I backpacked the John Muir Trail of the Sierra Nevada in
California; approximately 220 miles in 19 days. I am also an organizer for a Los Angeles area backpacking club.
Greg Howland
Age: 24
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Area of Interest: Medical Device Development and Bio-Mechanics
Future Plans: After competing my Bachelor’s Degree, I plan to pursue my Masters of Science at a University
in the Los Angeles area. I intend to concentrate in Design and Manufacturing, likely continuing to do research
in additive manufacturing processes. With my education, I will look to begin a career applying concepts of
Mechanical Engineering to the development and research of medical device technologies.

Anil Keshavan

Area of Interest: Computer Programming, Electronics, Control Systems, and Computer-Aided Design
Future Plans: My future plans include, working full time at a job and/or attend graduate school to
pursue an M.S. in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Extracurricular: Design Build Fly program for the American Institute of
Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Area of Interest: Energy Systems and System Control.
Future Plans: I want to establish my career as an engineer while attending graduate school.

Area of Interest: Control Systems & CAD using solid works
Future Plans: I plan to work in an Engineer firm that allows me to practice concepts I learned throughout
Engineer school while also giving me the opportunity to learn about Engineering.
